In an interview just before his retirement as the founding president of Bellarmine College, Msgr. Alfred Horrigan revealed that his one regret was choosing the yellow brick for the buildings on the new campus. Well, rest easy, Msgr. Horrigan. As part of the Bellarmine Centro project atop the Hill, the yellow brick of your namesake building is no more. Using the same process they used on Knights Hall, crews spray-painted tan over Horrigan Hall’s yellow brick, then hand-painted the mortar and highlighted individual bricks with a darker color. Horrigan will next have a complete interior renovation and be connected to the new Centro building by a three-story atrium.
