Assistant Track & Field Coach Bill Hearn and Yashira Rhymer-Stuart celebrate her historic achievement.
Yashira Rhymer-Stuart dominated the high jump on March 9 as she won Bellarmine’s first-ever national championship in track and field. The Cincinnati senior also secured her fifth All-America accolade at the DII NCAA Indoor Championships, held at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Rhymer-Stuart cleared all four of her jumps on the first try, the final one being a 1.77-meter leap that her five remaining competitors could not overcome. To read more about her historic achievement, see tinyurl.com/BUjump.
