As move-in day drew near, we asked several incoming students from the Class of 2022 a variety of questions to get to know them a little better. For other first-year stories, visit www.bellarmine.edu/news.

Bellarmine was the choice for me because it’s a campus that gives you that vibe where it’s a community or almost family-style of school. Whenever I was applying for college, Bellar-mine wasn’t my first choice; but, whenever I kept getting more information in the mail, I realized how much they care about their current and possible incoming students. The students, staff and faculty that were present at the campus tour and orientation really represent what Bellarmine is all about. They want to know what questions you have and they strive to continue to better themselves. Plus, with that sense of familiarity, it’s something that other larger campuses don’t provide.
Have you picked a major?
Yes, I have chosen a major. When I was younger I knew I’d be somewhere in the health field because both of my parents and my aunt worked at a hospital. So, I have finally decided on majoring in nursing, particularly studying to be a nurse anesthetist. I absolutely love talking to people and being a social butterfly, and the opportunities are endless with the kinds of people I’ll be able to meet working in the medical field. I hope to study abroad, as well, to see the different people and how they take care of one another.
